mill loaf







A simple sourdough loaf as part of the mellow bakers challenge.




The mill loaf is the second recipe in Dan's book and it is a very good everyday sourdough loaf. Dan recommends a 60:40 ratio of white flour to whole meal and rye. I have tended to use 50:50 but I think I prefer the former. Really tasty bread.
